Closing balance
After your departure is confirmed, you will receive the closing balance of your accommodation account.

Charges for cleaning and damages
If there were any damages or cleaning charges to pass for your room or flat, you may receive charges for this within 28 days of your departure. You will have a week to appeal those charges and provide evidence if you do not feel you are liable for the cost.

Returning students - returning to hall in the new academic year
If you owe less than £100.00, please note that your balance will be cleared using your future deposit, if you have not paid the outstanding fee by end of July in the year you are returning to hall. Please note that this will mean your deposit / pre payment of fees will be reduced for the new academic year.

If you are a returning student next academic year, you will need to clear all of your outstanding fees for current academic year by 31st July. If you cannot pay your balance by that date, please pay as much as possible and then contact the team to discuss an extension to the payment plan. 

Summer students
If you are living in summer housing, the deadline to pay your summer room fee is 31st July. If you need an extension for your payment plan, please reach out to the team before the end of July. 
The team will email summer fee information shortly before your new contract begins.

Not returning to accommodation
If you are not returning to university accommodation, please arrange payment within one month of the end of your Licence Agreement. If you left during the academic year and there is an outstanding balance after a month of departure, our partners at Judge Priestley will reach out to you and liaise with you to monitor your payment schedule.

If your licence ended at the end of the academic year, in June - then you can make payments over the summer period and into September. The team will reach out to you in September if there is any balance remaining, detailing next steps. 

How to pay
You can arrange to make payment(s) through your student portal or via the Flywire payment portal.
