During online registration, you will have the opportunity to add a preferred name. You will not need to provide any evidence or proof to do this. 

If you have completed your registration, please visit one of our Student Centres or submit an enquiry through the Digital Student Centre, giving us the preferred name to add to your record.

Please note that we are working towards using preferred names wherever possible. However, some processes, tasks or official documents at the university - such as your ID card, student letters, and certificates - must use your legal name.
