If you are a Faculty of Engineering & Science Post Graduate student, studying in the Schools of Computing & Mathematical Sciences; Engineering; Science or the NRI your exams will take place in the weeks below. If you are resitting any term 1 modules your Faculty will inform you when and where these will take place.

Term 1 modules:  5 - 9 January 2026 (resit exams for term 1 modules 13 - 22 April 2026)

Term 2 modules:  13 - 22 April 2026 (resit exams for term 2 modules 13 - 24 July 2026)

This year the Faculty of Engineering and Science exam period for postgraduate students Term 1 resit exams and T2 exams covers 13-22 April 2026. Timetables are available on the Portal. Revision/self-study is from 6-10 April 2026.

As a result, the Faculty is providing you with a short break from studies for the period covering 27 Apr – 8 May 2026. During this time there should not be any scheduled classes and therefore student attendance is not required. If you have any project supervision meeting scheduled during this period then please inform your supervisor if you do not plan to attend, and re-schedule the meeting. Independent Research Project/Dissertation lab experiments will continue as usual due to the nature of the experiments.

Please note that this date period (27 April - 8 May) is still considered as Term Time for official university purposes.

Our colleagues in the International Student Advice Service have advised that as this is not an official vacation period, that it is not a safe interpretation of the immigration rules to work full time during this period, for any students that hold a Student Visa.
