If you have received an email from the Visa Compliance Team stating that your student visa sponsorship has been withdrawn as you did not complete all parts of registration by the official University deadline, please see the information below:

If you intend to continue your studies or you believe this is an error, there is a process which you must follow:

  • In order to be considered for reinstatement, you will first need to obtain Faculty approval. If approved, the Faculty will send your request to the relevant teams. Reinstatement is considered based on a number of factors, most importantly your attendance and engagement to date.
  • If you have already been approved for reinstatement, you may be receiving this email if all parts of registration have still not yet been completed and you have at least one hold remaining on your record. You must ensure you have fully registered. Speak with the Student Centre if unsure.

If you do not wish to continue your studies, we have included guidance below as to what this means for you and your next steps:

  • If you are in the UK, you should make arrangements to return home or switch into another visa category if you have not already done this, as the UKVI will curtail (shorten) your visa.
  • If you are not currently in the UK, please be aware that your visa cannot be used to enter the UK. Please do not attempt to use it at the UK border as you may not be allowed enter the UK under this route.

Please refer to the email that was sent from the Visa Compliance Team for further information.
