The postgraduate research transfer assessment is an important step towards transitioning from MPhil/PhD to a PhD candidate. The examination is typically conducted midway through your programme with the aim of providing you with a formal evaluation and recommendations on how to progress. You can find information on transfer assessment processes by reviewing the following two documents:
- Academic Regulations for Postgraduate Awards, see Section E: Progress and Progression, and Section F: Examinations and Assessments.
- Postgraduate Research Student's and Supervisor's Handbook, see Section I: Academic Progress (MPhil, MPhil/PhD, PhD and Professional Doctorates).
