Completing your PhD Viva marks a significant milestone in your research and academic career.
Your examiners may verbally advise you on the outcome they are going to recommend to the Faculty Research Degrees Committee (FRDC).
Please note, it will take some time for the panel to complete the paperwork and provide a list of corrections and annotations where applicable. Once RETI receives the paperwork from the panel, we will send it to the FRDC for consideration.
You will receive an email notification of the official outcome of your examination within 7 working days of the date of the FRDC decision. You can find more information regarding the examination process in:
- Academic Regulations for Postgraduate Regulations Awards, see Section F: Examination and Assessment.
- Postgraduate Research Student's and Supervisor's Handbook, see Section L: Academic Progress (MPhil, MPhil/PhD, PhD and Professional Doctorates).
