If you lose your BRP, you must report it as lost or stolen, even if it has expired. Replacement BRPs are no longer issued, so you will need to create an eVisa account to prove your immigration status digitally. Failure to report a lost or stolen BRP could result in penalties like fines of up to £1,000 and being asked to leave the UK.
