If you complete your studies earlier than expected, the University is required to report your early completion to UKVI, which will result in your Student visa being shortened. UKVI will contact you directly with details of your revised visa expiry date. As the timing of this process is determined by UKVI, the University cannot predict when your visa will be curtailed or what your new end date will be.

The Home Office advises if your visa is cancelled following early completion of studies and you travel abroad, or you are already outside the UK at the point of cancellation action, your Student visa will lapse and you will not be able to re-enter the UK on the same visa. See Article 13(3) of the Immigration (Leave to Enter and Remain) Order 2000.

If you have questions around the process, please complete our self-referral form and a member of the team will be happy to assist you.
