If you are unable to attend your timetabled sessions for a period up to 3 calendar days because of an illness, or an appointment for example, you should submit a short term absence via the Student Portal under My Learning – Notify staff of non-attendance.
You can request a short term absence for 3 consecutive days however note that you will not be able to submit any additional absences for the same week.
If you need to request an absence period longer than 3 calendar days, you will need to complete an Authorised Absence Form, which must be supported by appropriate evidence for your absence. The form must be sent to and authorized by your Retention team.
