You may need to travel abroad during term-time for reasons such as a family event or emergency. This can be permitted, but if you will be absent for three days or more, you must complete an authorised absence form. If you need to be away for a longer period, you should discuss this with your Faculty Retention Success Officer. If your absence may affect your academic performance, you should review the Extenuating Circumstances guidance and consider making a claim.
You must inform your Faculty Retention Success Officer of any absence, as failure to do so could result in withdrawal from your studies and the cancellation of your Student visa. Please see the full guidance on travelling during your studies for more information.
